HEATHER CALLAHAN BENEFIT SHOW

11/27/2007 -- All Day Benefit for local musician Heather Callahan to be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Saddle Creek Bar.  Heather sustained serious injuries due to a car accident requiring reconstructive surgery to her jaw.  All proceeds will go towards hospital bills.  There will be LIVE MUSIC from Noon - 1AM featuring such artists as Drunken Intentions, Scott Moore, The Acoustic Duo and many more!  There will be raffle drawings with prizes, a silent auction, spaghetti dinner and bake sale throughout the day.  

TAXI DRIVER WELCOMES NICOLE SIMET

11/5/2007 -- SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:  TAXI DRIVER officially welcomes vocalist Nicole Simet into the band!  

Taxi Driver had the pleasure to work with some really great singers this summer while Sarah was on maternity leave.  We would like to thank Chalee George (http://justchalee.com), Shannon Jones (http://desperatebandwives.com), Angel Peterson and Nicole Simet for their time, commitment and talent over the last few months.  We love you all and sincerely appreciate the effort you put in on Taxi Driver’s behalf.

On that note, many of you have probably noticed that we now have five girls on stage!  TAXI DRIVER has officially welcomed Nicole Simet to our happy-but-slightly-dysfunctional family!

Nicole did an awesome job for us while Sarah was gone and we liked her so much, we just had to keep her!  Nicole has a broad background in music even though this is her first band.  Nicole sang for the College World Series in 2007, the Princess Diana Dress Tour at the Western Heritage Museum; she has won numerous karaoke contests across the Midwest and has sang in more weddings and events than we can count.  (well, some of us anyways!?)

Nicole is married to a great guy named Scott who has also stepped right up and helped contribute to the band’s continued success.  (Also he's donated lots of muscle power!)  Her family was and is incredibly supportive and comes out to every single gig (even while it was just a temporary position).  We thank all of them for their support and hope our fans will welcome Nicole, her family and friends with open arms! -- TAXI DRIVER

SARAH GIRRES RETURNS TO TAXI DRIVER

8/30/07 -- The day has finally come, Sarah Girres is returning from maternity leave to rejoin Taxi Driver!  Starting with the shows September 14th and 15th at the Arena Sports Bar she will be back permanently.  We have all missed Sarah very much - both for her talented vocals and her personality on stage.  Please join us in welcoming her back at the Arena Sports Bar!  -- TAXI DRIVER
